gen coupes not at the 5k or even close on the west coast I've had a few lowest I could get was 7500 and ended up having to replace the motor a few months later

Supercharged Saturn ion redline. End of story. It is the most fun you can have in a car for pennies. I recently took mine to atlanta street take over and did some 1/4 mile roll racing. 6 roll races in total. Then that same week I took the car up to Tennessee and drove tail of the dragon 4 times balls the wall. Engine wise the car is stock. However, I have a complete suspension build. But stock the suspension is still good from the factory. I bought the car with 84k miles for $3500. I put around 20k hard driven miles since I bought it. The car hasn't given me any reliability issues and this is my daily.

My top picks would probably be a 1993-2003 Camaro, 98-04 Mustang GT, definitely have to consider the Genesis Coupe, but the 370Z depreciation is real. I like to think there’s a clean S14 or S15 for $5, 000, it’d be a great track car, that drift tax hurts the pockets tho 😔

Ayyy! The S60R made it! I love mine. The perfect used fast cars are old depreciated luxury cars. Smooth AF ride with impressive power for the money. Now hush hush so I can get my brother one before y’all make prices inflate 😭

As a gen coupe owner, I must say the car is great. It has been reliable to me and It won’t die on me anytime. I know hyundai and reliable doesn’t go well together but my bk1 2.0t is currently sitting at 188k with original motor and trans 😁.

Okok I totally understand how the Hyundai Tiburon will never live up to the Genesis hype and whatever. But I own an 08 Tiburon and I gotta say these things can work. A few bolt ons and some sticky tires / coilovers. And they’re on rails in the corners. Not to mention the stock 2.0 blocks are easily capable of 400whp.

i drive a genesis coupe 2.0t & love it. The reason i chose the 2.0 is bc you'll be able to get more out of them when you're ready to actually make more power. there's not a crazy ton you can do to the 3.8 unless done correctly which not a lot of people seem to be able to do lol love the car though, definitely recommend

I was able to pick up my 04 Volvo S60 R, with the M66 manual trans. And the best part is I bought it for $3.4K. She did need some work but now, she is worth double her price. The best car I have ever seen for less then 5K. Would highly recommend

Saab 9-3 Aero, 2.8l turbo V6, insanely tunable, and equally affordable. The turboX is the AWD version which is less affordable, but the stock motors will make 500hp fairly easily. Insanely underrated cars

250 Horse and Torque on a 3400 pound car, for $2300 with 153k miles and no lights on dash. Best beater I ever bought.
