Thank you TLC for having me take a look again at Proverbs 24:30-34.
Made me recognize the importance of taking time …waking up earlier, to read and study the Bible with God helps me to tend the garden of my mind. Clear out the rubble, thorns and weeds. To “sleep in longer”, to “hit the snooze button”, can turn into a reoccurring thing and soon the weeds and thorns of life with crowd the garden of my mind. I wake up early to spend time in God’s word. I used to listen to the Bible reading using my Bible App the listen to the podcast. I soon realized that I wasn’t as focused. So then I changed it to make a point to get myself out of bed, go to the living room, light a candle and sit in a chair, then listen to the reading while my physical Bible is in hand for me to highlight and write notes in the margins.
I have read through the Bible multiple times in my life, but this time, while being more intentional, I find myself connecting lots of dots and gaining a much better understanding of who God is. I am now tending to my garden.

We walk in wisdom to avoid sin. It doesn’t happen by accident.
Guard your soul.
Apply your heart.
Train up children with wisdom.
Stay clear of things that can snare us and take our eyes off of God.
Stay clear of the things that are adultery related. Very unfitting for God’s children.
Wealth is fleeting, unfulfilling and not worth exhausting yourself over. When your eyes light on it it is gone.
We should choose our friends wisely. Make no friendship with a man given to anger.
The people we regularly surround ourselves with influence our lives.
Strong advice about abstaining from drunkenness and gluttony.
Knowledge is having facts.
Understanding is discerning what facts mean and how they fit together in the big picture.
Wisdom is knowing how to apply knowledge and understanding.
A disciple does not dabble in learning. He makes it the business of his life.
God cares for the fool and simpleton.
God appoints the wise over those who are stumbling towards slaughter, on a life and soul level.
God wants our heart to align with His heart.
God has no delight in the death of the wicked.
He cares for His enemies.
We all started out as His enemies.
He rescued us 💕

"knowing God is the chief busines of our lives" I like this, it is my purpose in life to know God. I pray that by collaborating with TLC & TBR in my reading of the Bible everyday, it will increase my knowledge, wisdom and understaning of God, to live my everyday in sync with God 🌸

Tara’s godshot was amazing. Reminding us all that, we were all enemies of god at one point and he still had the abundance of love to accept us into his family, so if god can forgive us for all we’ve done, who are we to hold grudges against the wicked (our enemies)when we ourselves originated from wickedness. God Bless y’all.✝️💪

Best Reminder: Knowing God is the chief business of our life! God loves us so❤❤❤!!

"knowing God is the chief business of our lives." Jesus tells His followers to love God and love people. ~Micah 6:8
Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly. This is what God wants from us. God is after our heart motives, not our outward religious activity or begrudging obedience.

2024; yes; friends can influence us the wrong way; it is wise to keep company with those that know God. Amen

Thanks TLC: God appoints “watchers” over those who are stumbling towards slaughter. That’s why it’s important to share the gospel so that none perish. God loves, we should too. I am married to an alcoholic who is working on sobriety. I, a watcher, pray for His salvation and success in sobriety. Lord, help us both fulfill your will. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

“Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

These Proverbs, written by a king who had subjects from other kingdoms seek his wisdom (Prov 22:21), is not showing us how to advance, to climb socially, to become the BMOC. If we find ourselves in the company of the high ranking and powerful, he tells us to not see it as an opportunity to grasp more (Prov 23:1). Jesus advises us the same in Luke 14:10: Don’t scramble for the seat of honor. Haven’t you ever wanted to sidle up to the VP at a company event and drop in exactly the right word so you come off as clever or valuable? But Solomon himself says, “Be wise enough to know when to quit…don’t desire their delicacies” (Prov 23:4, 5). Proverbs is not Castiglione’s “Book of the Courtier, ” showing us the path to influence and power. Instead, God wants me to “live a quiet life” (1 Thess 4:11). Like Boston sang in 1977, “All I want is to have my peace of mind.” What God wants me to grasp is peace, being content, and trusting Him for what He gives.

My God shot for today was found In Proverbs 23:4-5 - “Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.” In the world we live in that encourages amassing more than anyone else, these verses are so true to someone who has lived life long enough to know money isn’t the answer. God is the only way of completion. True contentment is only found in a relationship found when we go through the narrow gate in relationship with Jesus!

I am so thankful that God saw fit to include the book of Proverbs in His word. Such practical advice for living an honorable life as we wait for the return of Jesus Christ. My God shot for today is that God is in control of everything. God made all things. "The rich and the poor meet together; the Lord is the Maker of them all" (Proverbs 22:2 ESV).

Yes and Amen Tara-Leigh. Knowing God is the chief business of life!

I picked 2 things from this video:
- "Knowledge is having facts; Understanding is ability to discern what the facts mean & know how things fit together in the vig picture; Wisdom is knowing how to apply your knowledge and understanding." ~ TLC. These meanings were much needed for better understanding and clarity generally speaking.

- God doesn't rejoice when our enemies fall, He wants the best for them because they're much His creations as we, neither should we therefore rejoice at their fall. He wills that they receive the Light of His Word and repent.

Thank you TLC and all the crew. God greatly bless and keep you for Himself till the end of age, amen! 🙏🏽
