Something with bread like that needs a wet batter rather than a egg/flour dip. The bun will just soak up all the grease. A wet batter (in theory) creates a shell around the bun protecting it.

Deep Frying a Crunchwrap is also a wonderful thing. Just remember to have them hold the lettuce and ask them to wrap it extra tight.

Fun fact, we have deep fried burgers at most chippers here in Ireland. They're called battered burgers and are usually just the patty dredged in batter and then deep fried.

The empty wrapper for the lost point is a sign that your wits surely are at the top of their game. Cheers for bringing yet another smile to my face, Señor Sausage. 😀 PS, lobster bisque sausage mixed in with pork. Notably cheaper and still equally tasty if you get it from Wal-Mart's offbrand Panera Bread soups (Marketside Brand). They don't skimp on the lobster in there either, well worth the $3.
