Great explanation on the fix and the damage. The brake lights on my girlfriend's '07 Rio 5 stopped coming on the other day and I'm guessing this is the problem. This is perfect!

Thank you, I was able to change the switch for my kia spectra. I was going crazy with other videos asking me to dismantle my car and to mess around with the fuses but this was so much simpler and it worked!!

Thx for the video man. I replaced it on my moms car once before and the video i watched then had me take apart the bottom part of the dash. Obviously that was unnecessary lol. Looks like it shaved a ton of time by leaving the car running. Thanks again

Thanks for your video. It helped me see how to get to the switch, My problem however was the small tan colored plastic piece that the switch pushes on when the brake peddle is not engaged. It broke into five pieces and was laying on the floor board. It is fixed now.

Will this work on a 2004 optima because the brake light fuse under the dashboard is good but if you install it in my brake lights stay on take it out and lights go out 🤔
