I'm literally in my car bawling my eyes out. It's been 24 summers since I last did this with my Nonie. I was 16 and thought we had so much more time. Thank you so much for sharing this and bring a piece of my nonie back to me. And let us know if Nona ever wants to sell any jars (or meatballs for that matter) lol

I made sauce with my Nona-in-law from Sisley just the same. We were in Cento Celli outside Roma. She had hundreds of dried tomato sitting in the sun, a little hut she cured sausages for YEARS! It's a memory I'll never forget.
