My daughter is currently sitting her High School Exams. Today in her RE exam, of the questions was, what is the nature of the Catholic Church. I was just wondering how any of you would have answered it?

For the question about converting Jews, I wonder what that priest thinks about the prayer he says every Good Friday: "Let us also pray for the Jews: That our God and Lord may illuminate their hearts, that they acknowledge Jesus Christ is the Savior of all men. (Let us pray. Kneel. Rise.) Almighty and eternal God, who want that all men be saved and come to the recognition of the truth, propitiously grant that even as the fullness of the peoples enters Thy Church, all Israel be saved. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen."

So I guess this priest is just hoping that God will just convert them of His own Will and not work through others to help convert them? The apostles themselves converted Jews to Christianity. I don't get it.

When I began to read the Bible it was clear that the Catholic Church was wrong. NO organization on earth has the truth. the Bible is the truth and Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life. Not Mary, not the Roman Catholic Church. Jesus Christ is the Savior and is the only name which is given on earth and in Heaven by which men must be saved. NO POPE will save anyone.
