I love how the thumbnail is so innocent compared to the actual book

One of the main messages of this story is:

Work, pay, sleep repeat, UNLESS, you have power

I love how in the seven comandments they paid attention to detail and wrote "Freind" and the S the other way around

In Chapter 9 of the book Animal Farm, the pigs take control of the farm and start to run it like a communist regime. The pigs use propaganda and manipulation to control the other animals, and they become more oppressive over time. This chapter highlights the dangers of totalitarianism and how even those who initially support a revolutionary movement can become corrupted by power and greed.

Orwell's parable can be read as a biting critique of the rise of Russian communism with it's clear parallels to Trotsky, Lenin and Stalin but also the deeper examination of how even the best intented systems of change and governing can be subverted by selfish nature and corruption. And that's the part proving it's longevity. The story outlived the Soviet Union and will continue to be not just critical of socialism or communism but of any 'revolution in thought' offering supposedly simple solutions to eternal issues.

Animalism is the echoe of a ever lasting dream, equlity and justice for all animals not matter the size of their brawn or their brain. However, as beautiful as it sounds, it's just that, an ever lasting dream that will never come true. Why? You may ask, and the reason is simple. They trusted their leaders cause they were like them, but that's the catch: They *were".

Great summary of this Orwell classic. The scene with Napoleon and the portrait of him up on the wall made me think of North Korea and the Kim dynasty. Mao also. Big photos looking down over the people!

I wasn't required to read this story in school. But I read it voluntarily before I saw the animated and life action version. Another story I read "The Lord of the Flies" also addressed government. And I made a chilling comparison. In one story, you have too much order and in another you have too little order.

The people should never have to be afraid of their government, rather the government should fear it's people. And always keep their well being in mind. As we all know this isn't always the case. And you'll always find corruption no matter where you go in everything.

You'll always have that one parasite whose out for him or herself. Taking bribes, covering up certain facts and lying to cover their own incompetency and treacherous nature.
