Habiba Ibrahim's story is just one of many that illustrate the devastating impact of the drought on vulnerable households in Somalia. Millions of people like her have been forced to flee their homes in search of basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter. Together with her children, Habiba reported that she had to walk for 10 days to the Ladan IDP camp in Dollow, where she hoped she would get help from well-wishers or humanitarian organizations.

The situation in Somalia is dire and demands urgent action to prevent further loss of life and livelihoods. NAPAD is calling on governments, aid organizations, and individuals worldwide to come forward and support these vulnerable households in this time of crisis. We all have a role to play, whether it is through financial donations, volunteer work, or advocacy efforts.
