Bart Ehrman's Rejection of God Proves That He Exists

Bart Ehrman says that it's not his study of the Bible that leads him to reject God. What!?! Ehrman contends that there are over 400,000 errors in the New Testament but admits that this isn't the reason why he rejects God. Rather it is the problem of evil in the world that is a problem for him. Listen to Frank Turek explain how Ehrman's conclusion is actually an argument for God.

Seems like most atheists’ arguments against God basically boil down to:

“ I think that God should be like X
God is NOT like X
Therefore, God does not exist”

Perhaps, Prof. Ehrman, God meant what He said in Isaiah 55:8-9:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Bart doesn’t understand the scriptures. The world is cursed. We live in a fallen world because of OUR Acts of Freedom. No valley below changes the truth people. Bart will meet his creator when he passes on. People like him are simply running from God. Shalom

Do you realise not many Africans are atheists? This isn’t counting uprooted and replanted Africans, dare I add. I’m African myself so I can tell. The reason (at least in my case) is that I have seen so much of raw evil that at some subliminal level it strikes me that it has to be so powerful that no mere mortal can successfully resist or oppose it! And if that is the case, the only reason why evil does not sweep away all of humanity has to be because something more powerful is warding it off. And that something must necessarily be good, and consequently is God!!! My ancestors worked out the same logic and worshiped deities in their numbers until they ran into Scottish Missionaries with the bible story of the Christian God. Guess how my ancestors came to accept that god, they exposed the Scottish Missionaries to the full pelt rage of these deities, giving them land where the land was believed to be cursed, sending ‘mbiam’ and such enchantments against them, but nothing worked. So my forefathers believed. QED.

Most of the pain and the suffering in this world is caused by US as humans.  Why is it then God's fault??  God uses human beings; he always has, and that shouldn't come as a surprise to someone like Ehrman.  So what has HE done to help anyone who's suffering?  And what is the value of human life if  we are nothing more then another species on this planet, that will die out to make way for yet another?  Nothing, is the only reasonable answer.  Give me a break.

People would not do evil unless is was enticing. People also wouldn’t do evil if they were intelligent and farseeing enough. We are here to learn evil from good by our own experience and to choose good with as much effort as we can perform, against emerging opposition, through our free will. Turning our will to God grants us more strength to be obedient against our fallen nature. God gives us trials but it wouldn’t be a trial if it was fair, trails are unfair but teach us and help us change.

Hey! I can use this terrible reasoning too! To say that anything "proves" anything else, you have to presuppose the Great Sky Whale. It is incoherent to use logic and reasoning from any other worldview as they lack the preconditions for intelligibility. In saying Dr. Ehrman's rejection of the Christian deity "proves" anything is to use reason and logic. Reason and logic presuppose The Great Sky Whale. Mr. Turek just disproved his own worldview.

Listen, we are all accountable for our relationship with the Father, we all need to summit to him, converse with him, acknowledge him, revere him, obey him, I have seen so many Ppl suffer needlessly, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2019, this cancer has a 5% survival rate, I'm still here, why? I have my theory, and that's bc I trust in the Lord, with all my heart, I begged him to let me live, I obey him as I humanly can, I stopped many damnable sins, each of us need to put our trust in him, I'm telling you, if you stop living your life for yourself and committing sun's that are an abomination to the Lord, and fully summit to him, at least stay close to him, you'll be amazed at what he can do for each and every one of you!
