I make tomato soup w/ a 28oz can of tomato puree, which is generally _sugar free_ since it's not trying to be a sauce, then add my own herbs, broth & cream. This costs ~1/4 as much as Rao's.

I just made this tomato soup. Delicious! I used 2 C of Rao's marinara, 1/2 C heavy cream 1 C of water, and 1 t of Better that bullion. I used an emersion blender. 😋 I got almost 4 cups of soup totaling about 20 net carbs for the whole thing. I had 1 1/2 C with a grilled chicken sandwich on low carb bread. ❤❤❤

I make provolone cheese and pepperoni chaffles.. just two ingredients in a mini and allow for 1 pc cheese on the bottom, 4 pcs of pepperoni and another cheese on top.. that's it.. they cook about 4 minutes until the steam stops and I lift them with a fork.. they'd be great for this soup hack..

I used Hunts spaghetti sauce in can. 1 c of sauce with 1cup chicken broth and 2Tablespoons of heavy cream for 2 servings. Hunts is 8 carbs per half cup. It’s inexpensive compared to other name brand sauces. I can get 6 servings from one can of the sauce. I freeze extra servings to use later.

I’m currently the “ camp cook” for my Mr & son during deer hunting. I grow & can tomato juice to control ingredients making it spicy for Bloody Mary’s so decided to use it for tomato soup, using heavy cream and butter. Turned out fabulous!

Best tortilla recipe. Ground pumpkin seeds and enough water to make a dough. Roll it out and brown. So easy and they hold together so well!

Buy a couple pounds of Roma tomatoes cut them in half salt and pepper them liberally and drizzle with olive oil bake in the oven at 275 for several hours until a lot of the moisture has reduced out of them and they’re somewhat caramelized. Throw them in the blender with a couple cloves of garlic and Wala… You’ve got tomato soup you can add the cream if you want to or not if you don’t. Sometimes I eat them like candy

I tried your Rao’s tomato soup this evening, paired it with a grilled cheese (zero carb bread) and it was WONDERFUL! It’s been so long since I’ve had tomato soup & grilled cheese that I really enjoyed it!!

I am doing a meat focused keto, with a little veg while counting calories, so I take my meals to work every day, and meal prep on the weekends. Down 105lbs so far, yayyyy

After watching this video, by you ladies, I wanted to try this soup, but didn’t want a whole lot, so I took a travel lid container and added 1/2 cup of my raos sauce and 2 Tbs coconut cream (I’m out of hwc, so this was all I had) and it was really good! I’m not a big soup person, but this was so yummy and a great side for my 12oz 93% ground beef!

Thank you ladies for sharing, I’ll definitely be doing this more.

1 pack of Boursin cheese and put in the middle of a baking/casserole dish. Surround with chopped peppers, tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic. Salt, pepper to taste and olive oil. Preheat oven to 400 and bake for about 40min. Take out of oven and either use an immersion blender or put in blender. Absolutely delicious tomato/veggie soup!

I have to try this soup. Tomato was my favorite....I am also going to make the chaffle...with cheddar cheese, a banana pepper and pepperoni. Thanks for the great ideas.

I just discovered you two, you're awesome! I make tomato soup with Rao's as well, but in my pressure cooker- except I add beef stock instead of chicken. I even throw fresh tomato in because I tend to buy more than I need. I even crush a few garlic cloves and grind up a dry arbol chili. I even put in a few Bay leaves.

It’s yummy. However you can really jazz it up! While it’s heating I add: basil, oregano, garlic, hot pepper, black pepper, etc. A sprinkle of Parmesan or Romano is great. Generally I do a 2 to 4 ratio. 2 cups tomato sauce to 4 cups broth and then add the 1/2 cup of cream when it’s hot.

I made a batch of sausage and pepper soup yesterday, but was out of tomato paste so I used about a half-jar of leftover Primal Kitchen pizza sauce instead. Worked out good.
