Great job, Jon! I appreciate the respect you give air-frame icing - an underrated hazard that can cause unpredictable control problems, even in a very capable airplane. Your description of freezing rain in a temperature inversion is the best I've ever heard (at least when I wasn't talking :)



I love the PT-6. If we ever had to do a battery start with the Garrett engines, we regarded it as an emergency :)

I just found this channel the other day. Love your use of a go/no go time for your trips as it’s not something you see on flying channels too often. The political circus around the Caucus/Primary season is always a fun and interesting time to be a line guy in an early state. I also enjoy the backstage pass and getting to see the inner workings of some beautiful venues.

Thanks for this - nicely filmed (DSLR?), great bits about what happened at your destination, but what I particularly appreciate is info about your decision-making. Props to including big-picture information in your weather analysis. I guess you will have read Buck&Buck. It's cool to see what your class of plane makes possible and reasonably safe, as opposed to, say, what you can do with a classic Mooney or Cirrus.

So I learned about your channel thru flight chops. However, after several attempts searching for your channel on YouTube I was unsuccessful. I eventually had to go back to the flight chops video and click the link. After seeing the quality and content of your videos I’m confused by the low subs.
