Eaglemania sets out to play shows in Rutland, VT and Plattsburgh, NY. Weather forces some adjustments to the schedule, resulting in a 'black hole' approach at night in the mountains, and a return in some challenging IMC. Plus, I demo the M600 and Garmin's Autoland.

Best part of these videos is the in-depth pre-flight planning. Thanks so much for taking the time to walk through the decision making applied to real world scenarios. Also learn a lot by comparing the forecast and plan to the actual conditions.

Nice quality video and audio. I like the tight editing. The flight planning and approach procedure planning are instructive. It's valuable to hear you discussing the plan for weather outs and alternates. Liked your comment about FIKI only getting you out - not for continuing indefinitely. I'm shopping for an M500, so looking forward to joining the club. Keep up the good work!

If it makes you feel any better, I flew back from FL in N58GW 3.21 and, other than my annual at C&W with Sean and crew (who are great), didn’t fly again for almost two months. I have started to fly again, mostly for business, and things are starting to feel more “normal”. Flew with Greg Keshishian, a BPPP instructor, as I’d not been flying as much as usual and did a Flight Review and IPC - just thought it a good idea. Appreciate your videos.

These just keep getting better, even without portions of ATC audio. BTW, I'm ready for another RV-8 video as well! Currently on the slow-build wing kit for my 8, so the extra motivation helps!

Hey John it’s Ben from signature in KMHT. Just got done watching a couple of your videos and I have to say this is some awesome content. The low approach video with the RV-8 from April was awesome. I’m working on my CFI right now, but I struggled with my instrument a little and your IFR videos are extremely helpful. Really glad I got to meet you guys and look forward to your return back to New Hampshire!

Thanks Jon - yes you definitely made the right decision re: cancelling given what happened following you making this video. We're starting to come back to life again in the UK with clearance from the CAA to go flying again for leisure flights so looking forward to getting airborne again! Hope you and your family are well, best wishes Jason.

Nice flying, Jon. I can tell from your discussion of weather and flight planning that you take this seriously, as you should. I also like how you put this all into a nice story for the video. I've never seen your band, but if your music as as good as your flying, I should look into it!
All the best for resurrecting things in the post-COCID 19 world.
Best, Martin

So glad I found your channel. These are excellent flying videos, with all the planning that goes into a flight, along with your unique musical skills and the tidbits of your shows thrown in. I have subscribed and will be looking forward to more videos. I also winter in Bradenton, FL, just South of Tampa, so will be looking for another of your shows at Busch Gardens, hopefully Feb of 2021. Never seen you guys perform, but loved the Eagles.

Another great video, Jon! I'm sorry you didn't make it to Plattsburgh - a good airport. Back in the days that checks were actually printed on paper, I flew cancelled checks to KPBG 5 nights a week. This was when weather briefings were VERY analog, "All briefers are busy." Initially we used Aztecs out of Caldwell and then C310s and Navajos from Teterboro.
As the COVID smoke clears, I really look forward to your next trip. Stay safe and healthy!

I really enjoy your videos and it’s a nice feature to see your decision making process and the products you use to form your opinions which you base your decisions on. Since you’ve said from the beginning that you want to explore the practical use of GA as a replacement for flying Commercial and you aren’t traveling much right now I have a request... Could you make a video that dives deeper into your flight planning? Maybe pick a location and flight plan like you would fly there, but go deeper into your process. Ex. Specific websites with the links, in the order you check them and what exactly you look for.

Thanks again for your videos. They are great. I’ve been watching since you only had 100 subscribers.

All of your northeast destinations remind me of previous flights and old friends from NH. I moved to the Nashville area last fall. Sorry the show was cancelled but I like how the band spends quality time with the fans when possible.

This is an outstanding channel! As for the audio, some folks use a dedicated digital audio recorder plugged in at an unused seat. This’ll give you a backup audio file in case the audio plug comes out of the GoPro again. - Bruce
