Let me know what if you guys are using the NISI Athenas, and what you are loving about them?
OR do you prefer the Vespids, i was super surprised how close they were to each other!

I love my Nisi Athena’s especially on the RED Komodo. I just have the 35mm and 85mm and I’m struggling to decide between the 14 or the 18mm, which of those two do you prefer?

Great Video Man! Really needed th comparison as renting not really possible this side of the world. Just a suggestion for your side by side comparisons, please put the labels for each lens next to the frame especially if ur gonna switch the order around. All the best !

Hello, I am wondering what is the PL-RF adapter you are using on the RED KOMODO?

Super overview, thanks. I was interested in your take on the differences with the Vespids as I own some of both. I agree, minimal differences really.
I do prefer the way Vespids render skin tones and their softer highlight fall off, but honestly I don't think any clients would notice. Several of the Vespids have a very short minimum focus distance, particularly the 40mm, which I like too. I love the Athenas for gimbal work though. Not having to rebalance when changing lenses is a time saver for sure. I don't think you can go wrong with either really, now that NiSi has boosted the range of focal lengths. That said, I love 21mm, so when I want that focal length the choice is made for me ;-)

I feel that Athenas have slightly green-yellow tint and Vespids have magenta. I do own a set of Athenas and very happy with it. I'd say they have a nice sharp look, but not too clinical - so I use them on my creative projects without second thought

i prefer rear VND like the mofage poco, so this has been a deal breaker for me. maybe one day i might just bite the bullet and get the breakthrough cinema dfm which will work with these, but idk yetttt. Great video btw!

I can't understand one thing if you yourself said that 25, 35 have a yellowish tint why bother with cinema lenses? I understand if you bought Zeiss where the colors match perfectly. So maybe it's better to take photo lenses, especially since you shoot on FX6 and when you need to turn off a static frame with the autofocus button on the lens, when you need to turn on autofocus, I think cinema lenses are suitable when you have a focus puller, but not everyone can afford that! The FX6 simply has the most reliable autofocus, you can control it anyway, why waste time on cinema lenses in 2025 I don't understand. Let's be realistic, but only some panavision lenses have a signature character, most budget lenses have a slightly perceptible sauce. I think putting a Lut Dehancer lens on a photo would be more useful!

Athena and Vespid are both nice, but unfortunately, I've fallen in love with the Arles... my wallet is going to hate me.
