Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Malaysian, but Malaysians are generally nice, not just towards foreigners, but even to each other. I can vouch for this when I do my grocery shopping, going to the hospitals, at the local government service centres and even the police are polite and helpful.

Also if you guys have the time, do make a trip to nearby petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya where you get to taste more local food where locals go.
