To easily remember when to sell and buy an option, all you have to do is keep it analogous to selling and buying stock in your mind. You buy a stock low so you buy an option when VIX is low; you sell a stock high and thus you sell an option when VIX is high. So buying and selling stock and options are similar. For options, you keep VIX in your sight!

First time watching this video and first time trying to understand option. I am at the 28:18 minutes and my question is why anyone would want to be a SEller on a PUT or a seller on a CALL since the potential to earn is always bellow than the potential to gain?
