Hey all, I just wanted to share my experience here for people also attempting this. I tried attaching the speed sensor vertically over the fly wheel surface as on my indoor bike I didn’t have enough space to attach it over the axle, but unfortunately the readings seem to get all messed up. The speed keeps oscillating up and down, and the power on Zwift is overall widely inaccurate. I also tried attaching the sensor over the axle but vertically positioned, as opposed to horizontally as demoed in this video, but that didn’t work either. Super bummed as I was really excited about this possibility, but thought it was worth letting everyone know and save people the trouble of trying those other placements.

How would you tinker with wheel circumference

On a stationary bike the Fly Wheel can not more freely from the pedals. That means Speed and Candence sensors are linked. Do you need both for the apps you have tired? Also any App recommendations?

What if i use a bike in the gym? Is there a way i can atach the device and Then after the class remove it? Is this device possible to pair with garmin Watches? Tks

Hi how did you set up your Tire Size > Wheel Circumference Approximation Chart on your Wahoo ?? I have similar bike / NXT model and did my calculation 18 x 1.50 - not sure if this is right, do you want to share your experience ? Thanks for the video!

does it matter if you turn the sensor 90 degrees on the axle? My spinner does not have enough room to have it mounted as shown in the video. i can put it on the axle but the WAHOO wording will be shown (read) forward to back not right to left.

Attaching it using double-sided sticky tape, can you still replace the battery? Is the tape provided?

could you have mounted the speed sensor 'vertically', instead of 'horizontally' thus giving a bit more space there? The speed sensor doesn't quite fit if I place it horizontally on my spin bike's hub. Please let me know, thanks.

I would like to have seen you measure the flywheel and calculate the circumference on video you missed that bit of the process out making the video less useful but still useful.

Wahoo does not recommend using the speed sensor on a spin bike.
