Not sure if I missed it being mentioned, but refilling your coating charges before you're entirely out doesn't waste gauge. It uses less based on how few you're replacing.

This game is just super complex, why does the bow do like 6 distinct things? I need a Smash Bros of Monster Hunter to dumb things down for me, but this guide does as good a job as possible to explain it.

Best guide i've seen so far and i have been looking! I am a new player in MH aswell wilds being my first game and nothing worked for me but bow and even using bow it felt really slow i didnt feel like i was doing much dmg and after watching this guide and going so into depth as to the combos and gameplay i see i've been doing my rotation so wrong and after watching this and using the info i've greatly increased my dmg and my enjoyment of the game and mostly the bow great job on the video thumbs up!

Also using the adrenaline rush skill is a great way to take advantage of those perfect dodges. Gives you a temporary attack boost on top of your other buffs when you hit a perfect dodge

Just a quick thing to note about Dragon Piercer, it does actually do slicing damage, meaning you can sever tails with it!
