Those emotes are probably just placeholders since Riot hasn't released any rarity tier emotes

pretty sure its already, i remember the animated pengu dab and such already classified as mythics or smthing ... maybe they plan on adding more animated ones in the future and charge more by creating a false rarity system

In my opinion Riot neeeds a "Runepage System" for Emotes! I do have over 300 Emotes because of watching LEC, Worlds, Eventpass etc. Its over 300 Emotes imagine how are you supposed to search for a Emote? It would be nice to have like 1-5 pages where you can save your emotes. On the other hand you could do a searching system. For example searching for a champ or a reaction for that kind of Emote.

They were working on higher tier emotes a while ago. The Gangplank one had a Prestige version or something for those who already had it.

I think rarity will just indicate if it has custom sound/little animations to it

I think they're testing out emote rarity and used existing emotes to trial. I don't think any existing emotes will be changed unless they're exclusive (animated emotes, prestige/me emotes for example)

I kinda think riot acknowledges that no one buys emojis anyway, and they assume who does, doesnt care about money and could as well spend more.
