Coqui frogs are once again on Oahu

The state found an infestation in Waimanalo. Coqui frogs are loud and pose a threat to native eco-systems. The state says the immediate concern is to prevent the frogs from spreading to other areas.

Why my brothers? The frog is our love in 🇵🇷 and our mascot, and until now it only survived in Puerto Rico 😔. We have been a part of Hawaii since the 1800s Mana knows Mana Aloha brothers keep the frog safe and it will keep u safe!

I wish they mentioned in what aspect coqui frogs represent a danger to the ecosystem, as per what animals or plant life, or climate or anything is affected. They have been for a while in some of the other islands and people are kinda getting used to them.

I believe the frogs should not be harmed and be placed in safe habitats. A safe habitat for the Coqui frogs is far better than spraying the frogs. Human beings should not be the judge of which animal is good or not good. There is a natural ecosystem, a balanced ecosystem for all the creatures of the earth. Why is there a need to spray the Coqui frogs?
