Fun fact: none of them even finished on the podium, only 1 in top 5 and only 2 in top 10 and all that without Magnus even in the race. If magnus had won, none of them would even be in top 5. That just shows there are so many more great players than the ones generally talked about.

Stupid. A world champion is not a player that wins 1 tournament, albeit a very hard tournament. In my view, a WC is where a player has the highest FIDE rating after playing at least 4 'grande slam' tournaments over a year. FIDE need to get into the 21st century.
