Rachel 🌃, I watched this again. It is so impressive! I think the sequence is:
1. Deflect.
2. Pulverize.
3. Pray.

Fun fact: a metallic meteorite the size of a golf ball landed 10 meters away from my room when i was a kid. I went outside, i still remember the heat it was putting off.

I think another thing that made the breaking glass from Chelyabinsk dangerous is that people could be looking out the window at the light from the fireball ... and then the pressure wave breaks glass in their faces. Yeesh. Not a fun day.

Rachel ☄️!
Thank you for this superb and extremely interesting video 📼.
I had no idea NASA was doing this. Our tax dollars at work!

Comparing the strikes to snake bites made me laugh. The chance of a meteor taking out a city is higher than everyone in that city getting bit by a snake simultaneously.

How big are the "bullets" and where are they launched from? From Earth, orbit, or the moon? Does putting a weapon in space violate the 1967 Outer Space Treaty? Is the Space Force involved in the planetary defense project? Are there international partners? Is there a scenario where it would make sense to fire a nuke at an incoming asteroid? Have you seen Deep Impact?

So good to see Sasha Baron Cohen doing something besides comedy.

I'm not worried about hitting by a dinosaur killer. All the dinosaurs are already dead, right? 🙃

You automatically disqualified yourself with the NASA shirt, unless this is satire.
