Did You Know In SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING…

There is a big reference to a movie that partially influences the movie. When Spidey is chasing after Adrian Toomes’ men in the white van, he is moving through a series of gardens and houses to do so. The way he does this very much resembles the scene in 1986’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off when the title character is racing to get home before his parents and sister do. According to director Jon Watts, this Spidey movie is actually heavily influenced by the movie style of John Hughes, who was behind Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. If you watch as Peter is moving, you do see the movie on a big screen at a pool party at one point, with him even commenting “great movie”.

I thought Peter’s run through the neighborhood looked familiar
