That's why in any of my vehicles I always change my transmission fluid every 60, 000 miles and not a mile over do a complete flush new filter and all new fluid and I drive Chrysler vehicles and I've never had any trouble it's not always the manufacturer at fault maintenance maintenance maintenance regardless of what the manual says I always change the fluid no such thing as forever fluid!

That’s why I have a 2013 Honda Civic. The Honda 5 speed automatic transmission instead of the CVT that they put in the Accords and 2014-2015 Civics. This car refuses to die or have any issues

Mazda doesn't use a CVT. Also the Skyactiv Mazda3 uses their own 6 spd transmissions.

In this model, Mazda had a lot of issues with the TCM. If it locked you out from manually shifting, that's a pretty good hint it's the TCM
