In my series "Ableton Live Insider Tips" I show you features that a lot of users, no matter how advanced, don't know about. In this episode I explain how to record the MIDI note and velocity changes from any MIDI effect in Live, whether it's a native device, a Max for Live effect or a plug-in.

Is it possible to do this from a sequencer within a synth? For example the sequencer from Spire?

Thank you for the video but this is not working for me. I know that it used to before because I have done it in the past but now it isn't working for some reason. Do you have any idea why that could be?

Does this not work in Ableton 10? I used it before but since i got 10 it isn’t working properly. I want to capture the chords that are outputted by scaler but when i change my input channels to scaler it only copies the notes and not the chords.
