In my series "Ableton Live Insider Tips" I show you features that a lot of users, no matter how advanced, don't know about. In this episode I explain how to record the MIDI note and velocity changes from any MIDI effect in Live, whether it's a native device, a Max for Live effect or a plug-in.

Amazing tip - thank you!!!! I just tried it, and it worked brilliantly.
I wonder if you also have a magical way to trials three (or more) effects in this way? (A/B/C+). I worked out that you can map the three different effects to three different keys/buttons on you keyboard or midi controller then press two keys at the SAME TIME to turn the effects on and off to compare but this is still a bit fiddly/clumsy and isn't as effective as just pressing the one key/button. Anyway - thanks again so much for the tip!
