The first orange Oilers jersey was a throwback to their WHA jerseys. Not their AHL jerseys. Oilers never plaid in the AHL. Completely agree with Shannon on the current third jersey.

The Oilers current third (blue with numbers/logo in orange) stylistically reminds me of the Dallas black and neon green jerseys.

I like the copper trimmed jerseys as well. I was really hoping for a reverse retro of those that were an all copper color as the base, with the blue, red, and white accents.

I LOVE the Orange in the 2021 Reverse Retro

Love the old style jerseys, as well as the current retro ones.
The old Alberta Oilers jerseys were a little different, and they’ve never gone completely back to those, even as a 3rd.
The only ones I don’t like are the current 3rd(dark blue/orange), the 90’s gear jersey and the late 90’s copper/red/blue/white(the Souray jersey).

Ive been an Oiler fan since the Gretzky era but I'm right there with you in thinking the 90's jerseys were great. The copper and blue were a colour combo that was unlike anything else in the league and looked sharp. Let's face it, the orange and blue were the Islanders colours first, so a departure from that was nice.
