At this point, Mojang is adding new variants of almost every mob and might add new variants to every single passive mob.

I’m really happy about the chicken changes, as a chicken owner I can appreciate how these new variations are more accurate to real life.
The cold biome chickens here to me loosely represent Cream Legbars because they lay blue eggs and can have grey feathers too.

Here's a farm idea for anyone that is making a farm in Minecraft! This is for Roleplaying!

If you are making a farm in Minecraft for Roleplaying, I suggest that you make a chicken coop and use the normal/white chickens as hens, And use the brown chickens as roosters! If you can't get the brown chickens, You can use the brown egg to spawn them (if you are in creative mode)

Honestly? I really like this update, it makes all the new things added feel more grounded with such a small but good add in. The only thing i still dont like are the leaves since brown leaves everywhere feels weird, and they can definitely have a cycle where theu fall, turn brown, they rot and die, rinse and repeat. But thats literally my only complaint. Peoppe complaining about it literally are just complaining to do so, its a really good add on, nothing outwardly useful, just some nice ambience. Plus they can definitely add in grizzly and black bears in now too (and yes, the polar bear is already a neutral mob despite its not so neutral irl behavior, its only hostile when it has a baby.)

We got bush, leaf litter for normal biomes and dry grass and cactus flower for warm biomes so my opinion is next snapshot gonna add sheep variants and new decorations for cold biomes (there was a theory about the season update but it ended with just a hello kitty colab but this things what they ment)

New shrubbery is amazing, but the "warm chicken" literally just looks like a rotisserie chicken that was brought back to life.

Fun fact: the flower grows only if there's at least 4 spaces around it, and yes, fences count as filling up a whole space. So a cactus grows with 100% chance
