Turbos increase an engine's efficiency, they turn otherwise wasted heat into more airflow for the engine. Nitrous is just an oxidizer to help the fuel (more has to be injected) burn in the combustion chamber.

all of you replying to the "what if i use both" comments with dumb stuff like "itll blow up" are dumb as rocks. bigtime turbo racers do it all the time to spool faster/eliminate turbo lag, and what do you think their scramble button is hooked up to???
