This why the show was canceled...because it was teaching the truth about the music industry

This song has a pretty deep meaning. It shows how people with music contracts have very limited amount of choice. They control him like a puppet, like other current stars are like. If they want him to advertise Ham or play drums using A knife and a fork, they can make him do it.  They used the soul part so the meaning wasn't obvious. The moral of the song is that fame is not cheap. If they want a star to do something, they have to do it.

People in the comments say this describes the music industry, but they also forget this song can fit anywhere in life. It can fit in any celebrity field of work, regular field of work, and maybe more than we know. Some of us wake up every day next to a manipulator or in the same house as one. Some of us have to work for a manipulator at an IBM type cubicle. This song is so significant, it deserves a Grammy.

The fact that it's actually a banger makes it more sinister

There is a lot of symbolism like him wearing cowhide pants to show how much they would milk him of his worth and the utensil's to show that they are already eating his soul.

Took me a long time to realize the music video animation wasn't done out of cheapness but a representation of being an Industry puppet. The blank stare into nothing as if he is possessed, the big fake soulless smile. influenced others and kept moving up. The stylistic choice makes way more sense now

Also the fashion was ahead of its time. If this show was out now I'd prolly be him again but internet media influncer

It's November 2023 and I just listened to André 3000 flute album and listen to a recent André 3000 interview that took place in a laundrymat. I remember watching this show as a kid and being so confused as to why André 3000 was not making rap music anymore and why Class of 3000 was canceled. But now I get it. André wanted to have a normal life. He didn't want to sell his soul to the music industry. I respect him so much for making that decision.

The fact that he starts mumble rapping makes this seem prophetic

Andre 3000 was showing us that this is all the music biz wants, he is not in the Illuminati!

Andre was exposing what was really going on in the industry.

This song has lived in my head for more than 16 years, and now I can confirm it's as good as I remember it.

This one was so dark, yet soooo dank.

It's wild that we grew up with AAVE in our cartoons that wasn't meant to be made fun of or used as a joke. I miss these times.
