I hear ya.  Books are my thing.  They are my passion, but I am trying to branch out with other things. 

It is hotter here than ever, in the 90's with humidity worse than ever with mosquitos swarming like the tropics.  I look like I have the measles or chicken pox or something because mosquitos have always eaten me alive and leave scars on my legs but now they have my arms.  It's the worst week ever. 

I have the first two Earthship books that I bought when they first came out, plus another book that goes for the same price range, but by a different author, can't remember the title off hand.  When I was in my 20's, I wanted so badly to build an Earthship in an obscure little town in Tennessee, but never could save the money for some land and I'm sure they would not have allowed it anyway (zoning laws are ridiculous when it comes to doing your own thing, especially if you are a single female in the South.)  But I was always yard saling for tools, materials for my Earthship, fencing, gardens, etc.   Never happened and now I'm disabled, but I still hang on to these books and they don't sell for as much as they used to on Ebay (I'm not on Amazon....yet.)  But that first book...it's a wonder it's still in great shape.  I read every word of it about 30 times.  There's no way I will ever get well and be able to build an Earthship so I don't know why I don't just list them and let them go, but I just can't bear to part with them.  But...I will eventually.  Need money more than memories.

Gosh, I haven't seen a TRUE magazine in years.  We used to sell magazines when I was in the band and I remember selling a magazine subscription to a guy for TRUE magazine and even though it has been 40 years ago, some odd....well, most odd...I still wonder what happened to that guy...he was so nice.  Probably dead or in a nursing home.  But, to this day, when I pass by the house he lived in, I think about that nice man who always bought magazines from me every single year when I would go walking the town selling magazines.

How often do you go to estate sales and buy everything they have at the end of the sale? I was thinking this would be a great way to get a lot of high quality ones for cheap.  It might be the least desirable thing I see at these estate sales, but maybe the most profitable as you have discovered.  Appreciate any thoughts.

Don't know how you do it.  When you're at the book sales do you scan books or do you just fill the bags with books you think are worth selling, or both?  I see the old time book scouts at the estate sales and they don't use scanners.  They are about the only ones who are making a living selling books in my area.  I know you eat organic food: Sleep is as important to your health as food. Wish I could go to bed earlier. I always get caught up in some chore and end up going to bed at one o'clock.
