"Today is Mother's Day held by the school. All the children were accompanied by their parents, but there was one boy who was seen standing alone in the crowd. He looked around and looked for his family. The child's eyes seemed full of hope that his family would come. Because he waited too long, he finally cried. Then a mother who was standing next to him immediately called the teacher to comfort him."

I understand everyone has their own opinions and preferences but can schools please try to know the family situations beforehand instead of putting little children in such difficult positions? People think kids don't remember but they absolutely do and these things leave a long lasting impact.

As a person who lost my mom at 13 and a future teacher, I will never do anything like this. Not only does this make kids who don't have moms hurt, dad is left out because school is out.

I can feel what went through the heart of this boy because I experienced it, too when I was a kid. It hurts so much when your parents don't come for you and you 're the only one left standing alone. Up to this day in my '70's it still brings a knife in my chest. So parents, make sure to give time for your kids in their occasions.

my son in law passed away a few days before his daughter started kindergarten she endured many of these school events.father daughter dances etc. bless my husbands heart he would escort her and her sister to all school events. its been 17 years now and papaw is still their hero. thank you honey😍😍😍

Oh GOD, I wish I could have given him a hug. This really hurts my heart. 😮😢 Thanks to woman who comforted him! 🥹 I will not pass judgement on the mom or parent because maybe she is a single parent and have to work with no time off. This is sad all around. I want to give a shout-out to all the single parents working hard and holding it down for their children. You are the true heroes. 🥰

I have put my arms around many many children while I stood with my own. My Mother worked my whole life and I don’t remember her coming to anything but my graduation from High School. I NEVER wanted anyone to feel that lonely. All the friends of my grands call me “Meme” and I’m still “Mom” to some of their friends my kids had in high school. That won’t change.

I always went to anything like this with both my sons. In fact when I got a job, it was at another school, lunchtimes in the kitchen so I was always there for when they were out of school for the day. I loved having that time with them.

Poor boy so lost and helpless. It's heart breaking to watch this child standing all alone and sad. Parents no matter how busy you are tied down with your work. No amount of money, riches and wealth you can earn and gather in your life all these monetary and materialistic achievements can never compensate the warmth and love, comfort and assurance of love that the children needs from their parents. Don't blame your children for being unfilial and don't care for their parents when they become old. First ask yourself where were you when your children were young and needed your love and protection.
