We are trying to sell our home and have lease solar panels and no one wants to purchase the home because of it. I don’t blame them!! I had no idea it would cause so many issues in selling your home and when you lease, you will never own them! I would never recommend lease solar panel to anyone!! Especially in Texas through (Solar city) Tesla!!!

What if the lessor is not providing any information about the contract. We are in the middle of trying to close and I can’t get ahold of anyone at Tesla. We can’t close without the information. I don’t know how much the monthly payment will be, how much time is left on the contract etc. The lessor keeps emailing me to just sign as the assignee.

i am a new agent my seller gave me a copy of the customer agreement but the name on the agreement is the name of the first owner, not her. How so?

Thank you! Different state (so I know local rules/forms won't apply) but the dream house with solar panels just listed them as leased on the disclosure sheet and I've been like 😱😡😱😡😱I'm going to send the link to this to my realtor, who doesn't deal with solar much.

Don’t lease solar as a homeowner. Just say no. Buy it with cash or forget about it.

Homes with leased solar are difficult to sell. In Las Vegas, the transfer fees, annual increases and being stuck with another payment is just not worth it. Avoid taking over someone elses solar lease
