The King, Elvis Presley once said that Roy Orbison was the greatest singer of all time. There can be no higher praise!

My mother loved this song. She died two months ago. I want to let her know that I'm crying over you.

In December of 1999, my father passed away. He loved this song by Roy Orbison, he sang it all the time around his apartment. Then on April 1st, 2000, my twins were born at 31 weeks, premature. My daughter, Victoria was a healthy 3 pounds, 8 ounces, my son John Lawrence, was 4 pounds, 2 ounces and sick. He had Potters Syndrome, a kidney defect due to insufficient amniotic fluid. He was born with no physical bladder and died three hours later. I was holding him as he passed away. Sometime later, I went to the cafeteria to get some food and drinks for the family. Everything was closed, except for the snack machines. There was a single employee, a nurse, sitting at a table eating. Sitting at the far end of the room was a modern day juke box, but instead of 45 records, it played CDs. I bought some food, I sat down and tried to eat, but I became overwhelmed by it all and I just started crying. All of a sudden, I heard the juke box buttons go "click" and the song "Crying, " by Roy Orbison, began playing. The nurse looked at me and asked, "Did you play that?" I said, "No." She then said, "Well, that's weird, " and went back to eating. I realized right then it was my dad sending me a message. That experience still affects me to this day.

Roy Orbison is criminally underrated. One of the GOATs in my book.

Roy Orbison lost his wife she had a heart attack and then while he was on tour his two sons died in a fire they were very small at the time. When u hear this man sing he sings in complete sorrow 😔.

Elvis said Roy Orbison had one of the best voices he had ever heard. This is in a book about ELVIS.

How criminal that he was almost totally ignored in the 80s until the travelling wilbury's revived public awareness. Amazing voice.

After Roy Orbison agreed to join the Traveling Wilburys, each time he sang, George, Tom, Jeff & Bob would stop what they were doing to listen to his golden voice. They were truly mesmerized by his pure talent. He was one of a kind and is deeply missed by millions.

Elvis when asked if he was the best singer of our time, he said no, its Roy Orbison.

This golden-voiced Texan with the calm demeanor.... heroically, creatively, lovingly, lived his life that was filled with so much grief, so much sorrow... too much!
Orbinson is truly a legend both as a musical phenomenon - and as a man.❤❤

My dog passed away yesterday. On the way to to veterinarian hospital to help her this sing started playing on the radio as she laid in my mothers arms. I had to hold it together as we took her down to the hospital. She had already passed by the time we got her there. I spent all of today trying to remember what song was playing as we made the ride. It hit me as I was coming in from burying her. I’ll miss my dog dearly.

Daryl stands through Easy Street about a million times, but as soon as the much more talented Roy Orbison plays one of his songs, even the most ruthless Daryl Dixon is brought to tears. TEARS I tell you. Mr. Orbison, people. Bravo. Fucking Bravo indeed.
