Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is a 1985 film, and the third, and so far final, installment in the action movie Mad Max franchise. The film was directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie, and stars Mel Gibson and Tina Turner. The original music score was composed by Maurice Jarre.

How amazing was it to be alive then. Music was so inspirational and heartfelt back then. I miss this kind of music. Tina Turner is a gorgeous person period.

All of the Mad Max movies are absolute classics 1 2 and 3 are excellent, the final film showing what remains after the years of chaos from the first film. Apparently there is a deleted scene where Max was saved by the Children after collapsing in the wasteland. Max unable to sleep for years finally sleeps, he dreams of his time as an MFP officer and his late wife and he crys because he realises what he has become and it changes him, would have been great for the final cut but never made it.

believe it or not i just saw this film for the first time 24 hours ago, and i'd forgot what a cracking song this is, and put together with the film clips as you have done, its a nice piece of work.

Yeah. As soon as I saw this film the first time, I started asking when they would make a fourth film. My hopes faded as the years went by, and Mel became a bigger star. I was excited when I heard they were making a 4th film. Sadly there's a chance that Mel won't be in it. If he's not in it, I won't waste my time of money going to the theatre to see it.

Thanks for the video.  It's an uneven film.  A lot of talented people involved, some great ideas and scenes and it doesn't entirely fit together properly.  I liked Turner, and she played the part well, but maybe casting a lesser known Australian actress might have grounded the film's reality a bit more.  You know Turner can't be a real villain.  That's the 'edge' that is missing from the film: there isn't a malevolent enough force against Max and the children for us to really fear for them.

The biggest thing that made this series of movies popular, this one especially.is Hope.They showed the world as we know it destroyed but in the end humanity was able to recover. An important concept in the cold war age that these were made in.

i watched thise on tv last night its a great film wow cant beleive that all the kids in the movie are older than me now even the tiny ones the kdis were cute i liked the mute lost boy with the monkey and bugs bunny toy he was sweet and the tiny one that Max carried on his shoulders what a cutie also what you out at the top saying And we light the city the leader Savahnna said that she was nice too bit stubborn lol
