I am pleased Jules is still on the show, he is the best presenter so hopefully we will not loose him to a new career of making furniture😊

I said it before, but the photography/camerawork on Escape to the Country is just stunning. The way they show the British countryside ... wow.

House #1, I'm in love! Wow!

I also loved the story about the Norfolk Wildlife Trust (releasing the ducks into the wild was just beautiful to see -bless these people!) and the story about the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway with its history.
Thank you once again for sharing!☺️

Those BIG DOG toenails are gonna be hello on those soft-pine floors! They will give them PLENTY of character!!😢😢

minutes from the beach, and a relatively new build -- win win : )

In house #2, they should knock out a wall between the kitchen and the second reception room, put a dining table in there and leave the other room, currently a diner/lounge just a living room...that mystery house is stunning...not sure why she thinks it's small..especially when there are just the two of them and the dogs ....and how can anyone feel enclosed with those walls of windows

Not sure that railway is the longest narrow gauge in the world. It might be the longest light railway. Here in Australia our Puffing Billy tourist railway outside Melbourne is narrow gauge and is 16 miles or 25 km long. And there might be longer ones in places like India.

Compared to the other options, i liked the 1st house. I wouldn't change anything or much about the 1st house even though it is semi detached. It felt private as well amd not overlooked especially in the garden.

House one is my va=favorite, esp. for large working dogs.

Hurting yourself.... on.. the fitness test. Priceless. Guess it was, probably financially lucrative.

Love house #1 - hate having neighbors that close. Osmo the floors, strip the wallpaper, a lick of paint here and there.
House #2 - it's all so boxy. It's an awkward layout. I wish they'd used some of that land to make a bigger house.
Mystery House - nope. It doesn't float my boat either.

House nr2! The outdoors is magical! For that price you hire some workmen!

Yes the last ones smaller but he wanted to be outside in his shed and she wanted to be walking the dogs on the beach, don't they want some time together as a newly married couple? She's a fussy bugger that one, maybe he should rethink the wife and buy the house he wants!! Seems its all about what SHE wants...they also have to consider close neighbours with their 2 German Shepherds..do their neighbours have kids, are they going to be frightened of those loud (and they will be loud when they play outside) dogs....the last 2 houses had perfect gardens and fences to keep the dogs in. Nice try Jules, but you are right...sometimes its really a hard sell.

The exterior of house #2 has two things I hate: porthole windows and pebble dash stucco. That front door, which looks like the entrance to a Medieval Times chain restaurant, makes it look even worse.

Loved this one with the wonderful work of the RSPCA wildlife work and the very willing house hunters to participate.

Wondering if the homes were actually the problem for this woman or if it was getting married that was really putting her off. How much room do you really need when it is just the two of you ? !

I soo agree with her - the mystery house is tiny and so cramped! Also it's not up to Jules to know which size house would work for them. He does tend to mansplain quiet badly from time to time. Jeez. My personal favourite was house #2 but I do understand her hesitation to take on that amount of work. House #1 itself was lovely but I wouldn't want to live in such an ensemble.

Awful mystery house. Not even a beach saves that.
