Darren and Connor are two star-crossed lovers bound together by blood. Set in a suburban neighborhood, Star-crossed is an atmospheric story of two brothers whose relationship develops into something more than society could ever handle. Well that was difficult to watch.
I knew two brothers from a small rural towne that were like that. Tney were twins. One died in a car crash. The other died during the visitation at the funeral home.

Wait what?? These are two brothers!! I could care less if they are gay but what’s with the incest? Someone please explain in case I’m missing something here. And why would they choose to end their lives so painfully? They had other options like leaving town to start a life together. It’s not like this was 1950. Gays, Transgenders, etc. are not only accepted in this World, but are pretty much the norm in society today. This tragedy was completely unnecessary. I’m baffled as to the message this short film is attempting to convey. I’d say it fell flat as an unrealistic stigma that doesn’t exist anymore. Perhaps, like I said earlier, I’m missing something.
