What is Web Security?
Web security refers to networks, computer system and data are protected from unauthorized person or group.

Purpose of Web Security
The purpose of web security is to prevent security attack like Passive attack and Active Attack. Attacks like modification of message, Denial of Service, Phishing, SQL injection, Malwares.

How can achieve Web Security?
Now a days various tools & technologies are available to achieve web security. Tools and Technologies are like Web & Network Firewall, Keep your software update, backup your data, Keep your website clean, Strong Password Policy, Password Cracking Tools, Scan your website for vulnerabilities and Use Antivirus.

What are Web Security Threats?
Web security threats are vulnerabilities within website and applications or attacks launched by malicious users. Web security threats are designed to breach security of website or applications

Classification of Web Security Threats
Web security threats are classify based on security attack: Passive and Active attacks. Another way to classify Web security threats is in terms of the location of the threat: Web Server, Web Browser, Network Traffic. Web Server and Web browser are fall into the category of system security. Network Traffic is fall into the category of Web Security.

Web Security Threats
In this video, I have explained web security threats based on Security goals. Also explained Consequences and prevention techniques against web security threats. Also given comparison of Security threats in tabular form.

Web Traffic Security Approaches
A number of approaches to providing Web security are possible. The various approaches that have been considered are similar in the services and the mechanisms that they are used. But it may be differ with respect to their scope of applicability and their relative location within the TCP/IP protocol stack. Web security approaches is based on TCP/IP Protocol Stack: Netwrok Level, Transport Level and Application Level.
