“This Belgorod incursion could well be the next phase.”

In order to expand its buffer zone with Russia, Ukraine may continue “further west as well,” says Philip Ingram, former British military intelligence officer.

It's wild how this whole situation could change so fast! You gotta respect Ukraine for being bold like that. It really shows what happens when you push back hard. I hope this helps them secure more peace💪🇺🇦

Respect for Dr. Jenny Mathers! A different reality is perfectly stated and a truer message couldn't be made. Thank you! 😊

Zelenskyy: "We need to fight the Russians back out of our territory!"
HIs generals: "But sir, we cannot advance because of the mines!"
Some brilliant low-level officer: "If you look over the Russian border, no mines!"
After a 15-20 second pause, maniacal laughter.

Greatly appreciate this Gentleman's concise, erudite and deeply impressive communication of his experienced interpretation of the intelligence at hand to him. Thank you Philip

It looks like the Ukrainians (correctly) have calculated that Putin and his generals have an inflexible approach to the war, and the answer to which is asymmetric, unpredictable, and powerful jabs the Russians will be unable to counter. So, as the Russians continue to drive Westwards on the Eastern front, Ukraine can significantly degrade and disrupt, with much fewer losses.

3 AM PST & this is by far the best coverage of the Belgorod mini-incursion. Thanks, TR.

When Ukraine was part of Russia the area was a major weapons manufacturer for the USSR. Putin drastically underestimated Ukraine.

I guess Putin never learned from History that tiny men with ambitions of global dominance, built upon an unfounded sense of superiority, have never fared well in the long run. Slava Ukraine.

I didn't think being severely embarrassed for 2 and 1/2 years was even humanly possible

Ukraine is playing, beat the clock.Get as much done before The Russian winter and before U S presidential election in November. Both could stymie Ukraine incursions. Slava Ukraini.

Taking calculated risks is how to win a war.

You don't get it.
It's not Ukraine that is the prize, it is Russia.
Only the Russians themselves can get rid of the present regime, but the same could be said about Ukraine before the Orange revolution.
A new Russia as a part of the Western alliance would be a wondeful thing and it would change the World forever making it a far safer world.

The lack of any significant counter actions puts a spotlight on the severe lack of reserve troops and arms. Even if they had to pull them from the far east or from beyond the polar circle, such relieve troops would have arrived weeks ago.

Putin is wounded very badly and I don’t think he survives from such magnitude of embarrassment.
