Hailey you seriously turned my whole day around with this video. I was feeling lonely and sad and then I popped this on and am having a grand ol' giggle at you trying to explain yourself. "I don't understand myself but I do know myself. We've spent a lot of time together." Hahahaha I love you so much and this is why.

i'm reading rule of wolves at the moment and i love it!!! much more than king of scars. I was also intimidated by its number of pages but once I got to page 50 I couldn't stop reading!
also mistborn is so good, it has a lot of world building but it's done and explained so well that you can't get bored

for large books, I make a goal for when I think I want to finish it. Be realistic about this. Then, I take the number of pages and divide it by the number of days I have to read the book. I then mark the book showing where I can stop in any given reading period. When I mark the pages, it really just makes it easier to read. Also, you get a chance to page through the book and get a seek peak of what will be in the book and this makes the read more exciting. So then, you can think, oh I just need to read 10 pages!

you should really give mistborn a chance!! it’s one of my absolute favorite books and i think it’s relatively accessible for a high fantasy, it might be a bit out of your comfort zone but i think you’ll really love it <33

The Handmaid's Tale is one of my favorite books of all time! I watched MA's masterclass where she talks about this book. She did a lot of research for it with the goal of someone saying "oh that could never happen" and she could say "it already did." It is dystopian and so powerful. It's an awesome book ❤️❤️

The Invisible life of Addie LaRue was a great book . Mood reading is the way to go, just grab a random book and go, then go with the flow. I would say mix up genres and throw in stand-alone books . Series are intimidating, I personally buy them one at a time . 😊

Hi Hailey! From a spaniard girl I encourage you to read 100 years of solitude, it is a very very special story and I think it will blow your mind how someone can make you feel the pain, the happiness and hopelessness of the members of that family through the elements of magical realism. Def give it a try!
Un abrazo fuerte y ánimo con esos libros tan largos, merecen la pena :)

Mistborn brought me out of a reading slump and I got lost in the story in a way I’ve only experienced a few times in my life! It took over my life in the best way and I found myself NEEDING to return to it when I wasn’t reading.

The Handmaid’s Tale is also really good and I found it really accessible for something that is considered a classic 💕

I’ve never heard someone talk about the tall book fear before I thought I was the only one!! When the pages are tall it takes longer to be able to turn a page and i think it makes it feel like I’m making no progress and I just feel like so illiterate and unable to get into the story because of it 😂

I’m a full-time working mom, and one of the things I do that helps me to get reading done is schedule 30 minutes in the morning to read before I leave for work! You have some great books in this stack! I’d love to hear your thoughts on them.

The Handmaid’s Tale: so important in terms of what is happening in the US right now around women’s rights over their bodies, let alone what’s happening to girls around the world. June is a heroine.

I definitely prefer less smut and that’s totally ok! I don’t think you need to make yourself like it if you truly don’t 💛

If a font is too small I get super overwhelmed so I’ll also go to ebook to read a book I really want to read but hate the font of 😅

These Violent Delights is so good! I was very intimidated by it's size, but I picked it up and I just kept on reading it, forgetting the size of the book. It is totally worth it.

Mistborn and ACOTR are some of my favourite series of all time! And A court of silver flames was actually one of my favourites so definitely worth reading ❤ They are so worth the hype and gave me everything I needed! With these Violents Delights I actually preferred the second book but the first was still decent!

So for the mistborn trilogy:
It's my favourite fantasy series ever. It just has the most interesting and well thought out magic system I've ever read about. I love all the characters and the world so much and I think every fantasy lover who hasn't read it, is just really missing out. I finished reading the last book more than a year ago and I still think about the characters regularly. I was also super intimidated by the size at first, but I ended up reading them all very quickly!

I also really loved Addie LaRue. It didn't feel slow to me at all, I read it in like 2 sittings. The beginning felt a bit slow but after the first few chapters I got really into it and almost felt like the book should have been longer.

Finallty, I 100% agree with you about the Sarah J Maas sequals. At this point, her books are getting way out of hand. They could easily cut like 200 pages and still tell the same story

I adored Mistborn and while there's a bunch of worldbuilding, it's integrated into the story really well.

It also ends in a way that you can see how he can continue the story, but if you don't feel like reading the rest of the trilogy, you still have a satisfying ending.

Instead of rereading the Throne of Glass books, I can recommend you Christines videos (from Polandbananasbooks or sth like that). She does like these super fun and entertaining reviews of these books. You can very easily remember everything that happend without having to reread the entire series.
