Configuring HTTP access to Analysis Services

This configuration is typically used to enable secure connections from Internet/Extranet users to Analysis Services cubes or Tabular models. Users can use any client that supports the standard OLEDB driver, for example Microsoft Excel.

This worked for me, but my HTTPs connection wont work in Excel. All my settings are right because I can reach the HTTPS url using SSMS, but in Excel it fails. Anyone know why?

Hi Rob. How do you handle the users that are not on the domain? I can see that you enable Basic, but how do you "map" a username/pw to the domain user that are set in the role in SSAS ?

Hi ROb,  Kerberos delegation video will be helpful...We tried it But one of our internal .dept think openning the deligation to a service account is a security threat...How to over come this concern...

Users work over HTTPS for windows authentication but fail using username and password that is configured in the database. How can I connect a non-domain user?

I cannot make this work when I publish the url in the internet. My objective is to allow access of AS outside of the network. and My expectation was that when i connect via excel. it would then prompt for a user name and password.
However creating the file already stopped me because its only a choice of Win Aiuth and Specifiy Username and password.
So i tried creating manually a connection file but i cannot make it work.

any idea how to make it work on internet published?
