Please for the love of god if you live in an apartment building, and share a wall with your neighbor, DO NOT DO THIS. more than likely you’ll just push the clog into your neighbors sink, or further into the drain line, then you’ll both have clogged sinks.

Just take out the pop-up assembly and rod it out. At least you'll get rid of all of the hair that's probably still stuck on the pop-up assembly.
