Mike, I have the neo 6m gps unit with the built in compass.. i have to get a serial to i2c board made ...i have the gps unit connected to ftdi and can get a fix fairly quickly but if i disconnect the gps and leave it a few hours it takes about 10 mins before i get a reliable fix....do you think it could be losing its almanac ephemeris data it has a battery on board, and an eeprom battery voltage is 2.5v ? any tips on getting a quicker satellite fix ? thanks Al..

I have a problem with this config file. I use GPS lea-6s-0-001.

In every step of 7:42 I have a "Timeout occurred without receiving an answer. Retrying...!" error.
How I can solve this problem and do you have other config file?

when you say this module gives you velocity do you mean raw alues of actual displacement upon time(m/s) or does it have to have a written algorithm for the calculation. also what is the difference between gps altitude and pressure altitude and what is the difference? which one i more reliable?

When I tried to configure the GPS using your file it didn't work the first time and I got a message saying: "Version Check" but it seemed to upload OK the second time but now the GPS doesn't seem to be working.  What are the setting in the file anyway?  Is there some way to change things like the baud rate?

oops I screwed up, I put your Lea6 config into my N8m and now it doesn't respond. Where can I find the n8m config file to restore my neo n8m?

If the GPS also has a magnetic compass in it does that need to be configured too?  If so how do I do that?
