Has the introduction of Novaloc changed how to approach treating edentulous patients?

"It really has. I am a big fan of overdentures. In terms of patient benefit, there is nothing greater than a mandibular denture. One of the limitations has always been that if we have angled implants, maybe 15 or 20-degree angulation, to get a nice path of insertion, I have to go to a bar. The cost of the bar and technical difficulties might prohibit some patients from being able to afford the overdenture.

The Novaloc, the angled abutment on it allows me to take some 10-15 or 20-degree angulation and with a prefabricated component, give me a path of insertion. That eliminates the need to go through the cost and technical challenges of the bar."
