How To Clean A 35mm Point and Shoot - Canon AF35M 'AutoBoy' | Film Photography

Thank you so much for coming on this film photography journey with me. In this video I will be showing you how I clean a 35mm point and shoot camera before film testing it. Many old 35mm film cameras used old batteries that may have caused a ton of corrosion inside of the battery tray or on the battery contacts. First we will be showing how to clean your battery terminals so you can battery test your camera for proper functionality. Once you know if your camera turns on and functions or not we will clean the film tray, lens and body of a 35mm Point and shoot so we can move on to film testing in another video.

In this video example we are cleaning my Canon AF35M but this method will work for almost any point and shoot 35mm film cameras both old and modern.

⚠️Over Exposure - This video is over exposed. Messing around with a new panel light here in the studio and had a little hotspot on the table that I didn't notice during filming. Since I batch recorded this with another video 🤦🏾‍♂️ I'm rolling with it and fixing it the best I can in the edit. In the past I probably would have gotten frustrated thrown away all of this content out but for the sake of being consistent here in 2023 let's roll with it. yes it is not ideal but we have a ton more videos to make this year and we will have much better lighting here in the future💡🙌🏽 Better Done Than Perfect.

This are janky cameras. I’ve tried to like them but they are very glitchy and malfunction too often. After, owning three, I prefer the Ricoh far more than these.
