The best concert ever was Joanie, Van Morrison, and Dylan. Joanie started, siting on a chair in the middle of the stage telling stories, playing her songs as if we were at a campfire together. Part way through, she asked if we could impersonate Dylan. Then she went into Like a Rolling Stone, with the whole crowd singing in perfect nasally voices - how does it feel? Later she played Brown Eyed Girl, again inviting us all o sing Sha la la .... She had great fun and so did we. We should have left. Van and Bob sucked. Van couldn't face the audience. Dylan played piano and looked down the whole time. But that was okay. Joanie already gave us a Morrison and Dylan concert.

No one compares with her accomplishments although there were so many incredibly talented artists like Joan and Bob competing for exposure, learning well how to market their life vocation. Joni’s undeniable success has not brought her the happiness she deserves. Her career isolated her into horrific loneliness which provides her work with a resonant relevance few can endure let alone express with honesty both outward and from deep inside. She is the great muse, queen mother. Each and everyone one of us is redeemed by her crafts. Long Live Joni Mitchell

Can't determine if as an old lady she is bitter of just nasty. But she nailed the 60's with the quote "We couldn't change the couldn't even change ourselves." She missed Woodstock because her manager suggested that an appearance on Dick Cavett would be a better career move. Can't make this stuff up.
