The BRAND NEW Charvel DK24 2pt HH 🎸🎵🎶🔥

Since the first reincarnation of USA-made Charvels in 2008 I have always been a big fan of Charvel San Dimas' and So Cals. Growing up I was very fortunate to be a user to of Japanese and Mexican-made (2016) Charvels and have loved them so much that I have developed quite the collection over the years. For the longest time I really was beginning to think 'how do you top that?' Then in January 2018, the DK24s showed up following the release of the limited edition Super Stock DK24 in Matte Black the previous year. I had such a rush of excitement about how the Charvel product range was diversifying and evolving with subtle (not so subtle) new features including 24 frets, sculpted neck heels, deeper body contouring, a repostioned input jack and new finishes. Fusing the vintage with the modern to create high quality guitars with uncanny appeal. In June 2018 the DK24 2pt guitars were launched and designed to do the same thing but with a more modern edge. Building on the previous DK24 2pt range, these new HH models represent another shift forwards in the Charvel evolution. With new features borrowed from more expensive Charvel guitars in the artist range including the caramelised maple neck (although not birdseyed or flamed) and series/parallel switch from Guthrie Govan's signature model, the deeper body contouring and neck heel from the soon to be announced Angel Vivaldi signature model. Other unique features include the EVH Bournes 500k low friction volume pot and the hilariously wacky but very useful Luminlays which glow in the dark. The Gotoh 510 bridge is brillant! Despite it's traditional appearance which might send shivers down the spines of Floyd Rose users at first, it has awesome tuning stability. Once new strings have been broken in, the Gotoh 510 bridge combined with the Charvel die-cast locking tuners stays in tune like a Floyd Rose would although it IS NOT designed for Floyd Rose divebombs. All in all the new DK24 2pt HH are absolutely fantastic, very high quality, even more diverse and authentic combined with the traditonal comforts of previous Charvel models - including the rolled fingerboard edges, hand-rubbed urethane finish and a compound radius fretboard ranging from 12-16 inches. The pickups in this guitar are a Seymour Duncan Full Shred Humbucker in the bridge and Alnico 2 pro in the neck. Every tone you could possibly need seems to be in these guitars. If you get the chance, try one out and buy one. I have a feeling you'll be just as excited about them as I am.

The sound and tone actually, to me, has this interesting combination of Twangy Country while that experimental and innovative of Steve Vai! Really awesome showcase man!

I want to thank you Cameron. All your videos featuring Charvel guitars convinced me to finally buy one. I had a Charvel Model 4 back in the day (circa 1989 or so) and loved it. I switched to Ibanez after that and had several other guitars, Hamer, Music Man, Sterling and ESP to name a few. But I’ve wondered how the Charvel’s were since being owned by FMIC. I figured they must be pretty dang good since they also own the EVH guitar and amp line. I absolutely love my EVH 5150 III 50 watt head and cab! So your videos convinced me to pull the trigger and get a Charvel. I got the DK24 with natural Okoume finished body and ebony fretboard. What a sweet playing and sounding guitar! I’ve played Dimarzio pickups forever and wasn’t sure if I’d like the Duncan’s. But it turns out that the Full Shred And Jazz pickups are my favorites right now since that’s what came in the guitar. I want to do a review video but it will look and sound terrible compared to yours since I just do iPhone videos with no editing capabilities. Thanks again for all your videos! Keep ‘em coming!

Could you do a cover of the solo on Polyphia’s song “Nasty” it’s absolutely amazing. Their styles quite different from yours, but I’d like to see how you attack it. Been following you for a long time brotha!

Nice video. I was wondering since owning it how stable the neck is? Have you had to make any changes or has the action changed? I'm looking for something stable that doesn't get effected by climate changes. Thanks.

Maybe I'll just buy a charvel some day or a EVH Wolfgang special, both seems very affordable. Did you ever try the EVH Wolfgang?

Anyone know how well these Gotoh 510’s stay in tune after fairly heavy tremolo use?

Great demo! Could you maybe do a demo with more clean tones? I really want to heat what the parallel settings sound like without gain!
