I don't think I'd be better off if I were rich.Being poor makes me more humble and grateful for what I do have.

I’ve had severe money problems for 5 years now & it just hit me recently that there is something bigger going on in my life. Spiritually.

As a minimalist striving against the materialistic current of society, I wholeheartedly agree with the points you've highlighted in this video. Finding contentment in what we have and gratitude for the essentials of life is the pinnacle of happiness. We don't need material possessions to feel joy; they offer only temporary satisfaction. True fulfillment comes from spiritual and mental richness.

God bless you, Susi. Have a wonderful day!

God blessed me with this video. My contentment was from the world. My security was in money until God put me through the trials, and led me to understand that true contentment is in knowing Jesus, having access to God, and being led by God in this dark world. Thank you Lord for the trials, and getting me out of them. Thank you Lord for blessing me with this knowledge.

I just found out we're the same age 😅 so I feel even more related now. I'm not married yet, but we want to, and not having the money to do it yet is very discouraging for us lately, even more with our friends getting engaged/married or already having families, but your video is very encouraging and a blessing right now, thank you for sharing. I'll be praying for you, I kinda know how it feels not being able to leave your house to have your own home. I'll pray that God keeps our focus in the right place and we can trust Him through everything. Thanks again, you're a blessing ❤

I’ve realized that when I’m fixated on my current struggle, I forget all the times God has already pulled me through in the past. I get caught in this cycle of doubt, wondering where He is or if He’ll come through again. But lately, I’m learning to trust that even if things don’t go the way I hope, God is still good and knows what’s best for me.

If we have the Lord we have everything we will ever want or need! Such a wonderful and comforting truth but it sure takes a lot of faith, trials, failures, practice and prayers to get there (at least it does for me!) This was a wonderful discussion! God bless you

Thank you so much. What a timely video and I have never seen your channel before!
This was very encouraging and convicting. At the moment I feel so overwhelmed and mentally and physically tired, that I don't have any fight in me. I don't even have the strength to go to church or pick up my Bible. I still talk to Him and love Him but I just feel like its one thing after another and I'm so so tired.

I've never known a life without financial difficulty. It just keeps getting harder no matter what I do. And now I've been unemployed for a year and 9 months, unable to get any job at all. The only thing that keeps increasing is our debt. I'm tired and have stopped applying. God will pay all my bills and my debt even if I don't have a job.

You are brilliant, Susanah. Thank you for your kind delivery of the word of God. So true ❤❤❤ I encourage you, Solomon was an influencer in his day, his content was his wisdom written in 2 books as you mentioned. Ecclesiastes and Proverbs. His reputation went before him to attract other leaders specifically the queen of sheba. For his wise consultation, the queen of sheba gave Solomon 120 talents of gold, today's equivalent value of over $300, 000, 000. With Content creation and Consultation King Solomon created his wealth because he asked God for wisdom

Thanks for sharing that quote from “The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment.”

I haven’t read that book, but it’s a wonderful quote.

Many reformed churches have influences of Calvinism and Puritanism especially in America, were many Calvinists and Puritans went, because they felt, they couldn't live their faith freely in Europe. In some countries, this, yes, was due to prosecutions, in others, like the netherlands, they weren't free to persecute the "heretics" and didn't like that at all. The trouble is, that calvinist ethics are about hard work and self denial, which can often lead to financial success. Calvinists also believe, that it is predetermined if you will be saved or not, that God decides if you have faith or not. So - all that mixed up in human minds during a time of upheavel (leaving your continent forever is not about feeling secure and cosy) led to the vibe that "(Financial) Success = being predestined to be saved = being one of the good guys and loved by God ; being broke = not being good enough, doing something wrong." Even if that mindset isn't proclaimed directly anymore, it still permeates western society. It kind of forgets, that the story of Job exists, too.
