Home and Decorating Trends: Pieces come together for May’s she shed

Shirley May became a quilter about 23 years ago when she lived in Oxford and taught business and computer classes at Southern Valley High School. Her teaching days are behind. A few years ago May moved back to Buffalo County to care for her parents, Harold and Leila May, who are in their 80s. She’s the bookkeeper for Yanda’s Music in Kearney and lives in an oversize mobile home across the yard from her parents’ place on Green Hill Road.
