Another excellent entry to the RGB series. The Genesis really does output mind-blowingly good RGB, it's the biggest reason I wanted a Framemeister!

I just realized that Coury's shirt has the "I FEEL ASLEEP" quote from the original Metal Gear.

I love those sweeps between composite and RGB. Its almost like two different games. The Megadrive’s RGB out is truly spectacular.

I had to pause the video to comment... I absolutely love the Altered Beast bit where you edited it to the "power up" audio, haha. Perfect flashes and all.

I know this is an older video however keep up the great work, guys.

The model 1 always had the coolest look in my opinion. The Stereo sound being in the front is a bummer but easily overcome with a right angle headphone jack and a long audio wire :P

Those side-by-sides were gorgeous. Excellent video guys.

These videos are excellent! I've just dug out my Sega Genesis, N64, and NES so I can't thank you enough!

Great video but there is one thing you forgot to point out. While it is very nice Genesis/MD/Sega CD/32X has native RGB output there are unfortunately plenty of games on the system like the Sonic series, Streets of Rage 2&3, Shinobi III, Castlevania Bloodlines, Socket, Toy Story, Beyond Oasis, Earthworm Jim, Vectorman, Comix Zone which use dithering effects to create transparencies and extra colors via RF or composite signals. So if you want to see these effects come into play in the games I mentioned we got no choice but play on RF or composite or else we will see raw vertical lines or checker board patterns :(

Fantastic video. I LOVE my Voltron of gaming systems, my Sega Genesis, Sega CD, 32X combo! Keep up the great work!

Just received a Genises today after knowing hardly anything about the console except the games. All the RGB stuff seems to out of my range sadly... but I'm definitely glad I watched this. It helps that I know I need a Model 2 composite cable. At least I'll get stereo audio.

I had the Mega Drive not long after it's release and loved it. Loved playing Streets of Rage, Sonic, Desert Strike etc. They don't make games like that anymore :(

I'm constantly impressed by the RGB output on the Genesis.

I just got my model 1 Genny/Sega CD/32X combo out of storage. Now comes the quest for all the proper cables to hook that bad boy up to the framemeister.

This is mother’s milk. No idea how many times I’ve repeatedly watched this (and other such MLIG videos).

I remember when I saw the original RGB101 and 202 video and saw how inferior the picture quality of the Wii\WiiU emulation compared to the NES itself, but with the Genesis it's surprisingly VERY close. In fact I do like how vibrant the colors look in some of the games like Ristar, though that might be just Sonic's UGC. Also I use a Model 1 Genesis (due to hearing the differences in Audio quality) and Model 2 CD (Due to reliability and not having to use the menu to eject the disc). All in all, the Genesis is my favorite game system of all time, and it holds a near and dear place in my heart.

Great video as always guys!

: another absolutely fantastic video. you guys are total pros. i have been rewatching the whole RGB series and drooling over the image quality you two are achieving! i just need to figure out how to afford/justify the expense of a frameister and all the cabling ;)

(your camera work and production, along with Game Sack's, are the best on YouTube! Bravo!)

Great video, and that song at the end is awesome. A little sad, but also cool.
