Joe Rogan Reacts to NASA's 'Creatures Lurking in the Deep Sea'

A rover touches down on an alien surface in a place that has never been explored before. It’s dark, but when the rover’s searchlight switches on, it reveals a landscape teeming with strange creatures that’ve never been seen before. Somehow, there is life thriving in this remote place.

While this may seem like the opening scene of some science fiction story of life discovered on another planet, it’s not fiction at all – and the setting isn’t some alien planet, it’s right here on Earth, at the bottom of the sea.

Welcome back to Factnomenal. Today, we’re taking a look at why NASA is exploring the deep oceans, and some of the freaky creatures they’re finding down there.

NASA was originally created to explore the oceans. NASA explored the ocean for a short time then started exploring space. They must have found something down there that made them want to get off planet.

If you want to find aliens, you only need to look deep within our oceans. Earth really is two worlds in one

When I was in middle school I was in the US Cadet Corps. Its like Jrotc for middle schoolers. But anyway my instructors name was Commander Chaffin and he was a retired Naval Submarine commander and he told me once that at the deepest depths they had been the radar system picked up on something so massive and so fast that it dwarfed the sub. It was unidentified and they never were able to figure out what had just went past them at such speeds and what was so large. That was why after high school I went Army instead of Navy lol

I love thinking about what happens to that fish we catch on camera…does he go back to his buddies and tell them this huge, incredibly bright light descended down from above and moved around like nothing he’d ever seen before? He probably becomes the school’s nut job telling everyone about his encounter saying “I don’t think we’re alone here guys, IVE SEEN THINGS I CANT EXPLAIN!”

i think there could be undiscovered politicians lurking deep down in earth’s oceans

No doubt there’s things that lurk at the bottom of ocean that humans can’t imagine in their wildest dreams.😳

Well NASA's first strategic missions were to explore the deep seas as well as space.
Makes sense as both environments require no oxygen technologies

Back when I was starting out as a commercial fisherman in Washington State, I remember going out to salvage my fishing net after some big winter storm. There was a lot of stuff in my net that I had to clean out, but I the by far the weirdest thing I’d ever pulled out was this weird looking fish, looked just like an alien. Giant grey eyes, and it’s fins looked like feet. It was about 40lbs. I just sat there looking at it for about an hour before I gathered up enough courage to pick it out. I suppose they are deep sea sharks called Rat Fish. Super fucking odd

The cool thing about the discovery of life thriving in the most crushing cold depths of the ocean is that it means life can exist on other planets, possibly within our own solar system.

We're so focused on getting to Mars and the edges of our galaxy but have ignored the alien world on our own planet for the most part

I wonder if these sea creatures talk to themselves saying “ I bet there are things up there at the surface beyond our explanation!” Meanwhile we have huge cities and stuff 😂

Being that the oceans were 400’ shallower than they currently are…and had been for millennia before… it makes sense to start exploring those areas intensely. Map out those regions around our continents and other areas that would have been above water….

So many people have called the ocean a "Monster Soup" and i couldnt agree more.

I think it’s mental that the deepest part of the sea that has been explored is just 7 miles down after all these years when we have apparently traveled thousands of miles to the moon and up into space!

We have cameras everywhere I am surprised the ocean has not been included yet 👽

Even now they are discovering creatures we both never knew about and or thought were to be extinct. We need to to map out more of our ocean's.

There are civilizations in the deepest part of our oceans. It would make sense as a lot of the UFOs (now UAPs) that the militaries have encountered (on video) have been shown to go underwater effortlessly as if traveling through air and seemingly never coming back up.

The aliens we're searching in other planets might actually be living under the deep ocean beyond which human can go.

Many cultures talk of shape shifters. Well that squid and octopus and how they mimic sure makes that possible
